SMES: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), while brilliant, still have their own likes, dislikes and even personality quirks. Working with SMEs on training projects requires being adaptable based upon your SME and the situation. Join Sarah Wakefield as she explores The SME/ Developer relationship. She will discuss strategies for dealing with all sorts of SMEs including: The Busy SME, The Scope Creep SME, The Say One Thing and Do Another SME, The SME That Lives Far Away, and, last but definitely not least, The Best SME Ever. A positive SME/Developer relationship is essential; join us for ideas of how you can make your own SME relationships more productive.

Sarah Wakefield, author of Technical Training Basics, is a technical training supervisor for Schlumberger Limited in Houston, where she designs courses for audiences in locations such as the United States, Europe, South America and the Middle East.
