Thursday, August 6, 2015 - Accelerating Development – Moving at the Speed of Business

Cory Rieken from Development Dimensions International (DDI)

Cory Rieken

Development Dimensions International, or DDI as they are commonly known, is one of the top talent management consultancies. They help companies transform the way they hire, promote and develop their leaders and their workforce.

When leadership development programs are not tied to business strategies, the chance of failure is high. When achieving specific business outcomes is the backbone of your development efforts, leaders see it as “the way we do business,” not just something we do “in addition to the business.”

Key topics:

  • Tying learning to business goals – how and why
  • Using planned activities to drive continuous learning
  • Development trends that actually work

Cory Rieken is a Sr. Talent Solutions Advisor with DDI. Cory has spent most of her career where you are: designing, developing, and delivering leadership programs around the globe—everything from “Customer Service for Semiconductor Engineers” to “Managing (insert company name) for Shareholder Value” to “Advanced Leadership”.

Cory has worked for Texas Instruments, Raytheon, and Michaels Stores before moving into the supplier side of the equation. In fact, at TI, one of Cory’s first exposures to leadership development was through a DDI course. That’s where she first saw real adult learning being facilitated and said “that’s what I want to be when I grow up!” Working for DDI brings her career full circle.

This meeting will start at 6:30 PM at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites DFW West, 820 Thousand Oaks Drive, Hurst TX 76054.
