Have you got a book in you?  Well, what are you waiting for?

Sales of Amazon Kindle ebook titles now outnumber traditional paperback releases.  As of December 2010, online retail giant Amazon.com reports. Amazon now sells 115 Kindle titles for every 100 paperbacks sold--in addition, ebook sales now outnumber hardcover sales by a three-to-one margin.

Amazon states it sold millions of third-generation Kindle ereader devices in Q4 2010, with the unit surpassing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows as the bestselling product in the company's history. The U.S. Kindle Store now offers than 810,000 ebooks, including 107 of 112 New York Times Bestsellers.

This month, Buzz Murphy is back with an enthralling  presentation concerning all the excitement about self-publishing for the Kindle and selling ebooks worldwide on Amazon.com, the Apple IPad and Barns & Noble Nook.   Tips concerning starting you own publishing company such as www.bransonamericapublications.com will be discussed.

As an author of Just Tell Me Simply:  Formatting a Kindle eBook for Non-Techies, and eight other ebooks in the “Just Tell Me SimplyTM” series available on Amazon and Barns & Noble, he will discuss the publication cycle from the basics of writing through the deposit of royalty checks into your bank account.

Topics covered will include:Buzz Murphy's Book

  • Registering as an author, setting up a royalty account
  • How ebook structure differs from printed books
  • The software necessary to self-publish your book
  • Tips & techniques of the  book production cycle
  • Uploading your ebook to Amazon and the Apple Store.
  • Enjoy the knowledge that your books are selling around the world as you sleep.

After this brief presentation you will be inspired to hit the keys and finish that manuscript.  You will leave with the knowledge, information sources and tools required to publish your writing to Amazon.com and reap the rewards of monthly royalty checks, as well as the esteem of becoming a “published author.”

Bring your pens and notepads and be ready to open your minds as the world of ebooks explodes around you!

This will be the one ASTD Mid-Cities meeting you won’t want to miss.
