LEADING in the New World of Work

Trends such as AI, digitization, business model innovation and the ongoing pandemic are disrupting the way leadership gets done and challenging previous paradigms, causing organizations to seek leadership based upon adaptability, critical and creative thinking, and communication skills.  This conversation will focus on the implications of the changing world for work, leadership and organizations, and learning new ways of leading.

 

Highlights include:

  • Challenges for leading in a world of continuous transformation.
  • Top level paradigm shifts for leaders and organization including the challenge of “leading & scaling change”.
  • Why/where current mindsets & paradigms create significant barriers to making the needed shift in leadership.


About our Speaker

Jim Roach has over 25 years experience in corporate HR and L&D, building leadership capabilities and improving business results. Jim joined TCU almost 6 years ago as the Executive Director of the Neeley Executive Education. He is excited about the new TCU Advanced Leadership Certificate cohort starting in January 2021.

Prior to his position at TCU, Jim led L-3’s innovative Executive Leadership Development Program, developed custom leadership programs and led organizational effectiveness at Verizon, and has15 years of experience in executive education as academic director for several leadership certificate programs at SMU, where he also taught open enrollment and custom programs for industries including health care, oil & gas, telecommunications, financial services and transportation.

He has been honored with several teaching excellence awards and has designed and delivered courses on a wide variety of subjects such as leading in today’s business environment, learning agility, creativity and leadership, retaining top talent, and building and managing the employment relationship.
